  5. Now remove the lid, add a tbsp of sugar and reduce the juices to a thick consistency. Add a chopped chilli separately if u like the look of green chilli and some spiciness.

I serve it with a quick sauce of port, raspberry jam, and orange, along with a dash or two of chipotle powder for some kick! This a perfect recipe for your next holiday dinner or celebration. The duck will become so tender that you can easily pull the leg apart from the body. If the duck is not ready, increase the cooking time by an hour. The recipe is very forgiven, so the duck will still be very good if the baking time is a bit longer.
